I bought this to quilt on my embroidery machine and it's great for that. I can clamp and unclamp with just magnets without removing the frame from the machine. Putting the tire on the car wasn't easy, but after watching a few YouTube videos and practicing, I figured it out. I've tried it for other embroidery projects, but I still need a little practice compared to a traditional hoop. My results hit and miss. The only downside is trying to build my project on a hoop. There should be some bulges on the frame that you should feel with your fingers when aligning your work on the frame, but I don't have them. It's covered in that lovely diaper finish that helps keep the fabric in place but doesn't pucker. I had to look for other ways to level the fabric. In general I like the tire.
