I have previously purchased a 3 piece set from another manufacturer and have to say they are nothing compared to this blade. I'm new to carving and this is my route to blade. First I had to buy a beaver vehicle. This is a must if you are just starting out or are a seasoned carver. The blade is very sharp. The grip is comfortable for excellent control. If you're looking to start carving, this should be the first blade you buy. I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I dropped the knife on the tile floor and bent the tip, damaging the knife. Yes I dropped it but if the tip is bent 90 degrees how strong will it be?
