Well, after almost exactly 4 years of use, I'm announcing that it's gone. For the last year I've had to use lock lube, Wd40 (not really a lube) and PB Blaster to get this thing to work (mostly had trouble taking it off). To be honest I have it all year round and I live in Minnesota so there is a lot of snow, salt, shit etc. For the price I think it's a good buy. Just know that over time it will rust and you will swear a lot and probably kick over time (solution to everything). I found that tapping lightly with a hammer helped disengage the locking mechanism in times of need. Time to try another brand.
