This product is essentially a toy or can be used as decoration. The sound quality is terrible. In fact, I had to buy a pair of $75 speakers just to get "subpar" sound quality. Records rub against the open lid during playback, causing speed (and tone) fluctuations. I also had to buy a rubber platter cover to keep the albums from sliding on the hard plastic surface of the platter and lift them high enough so they wouldn't rub against the case.
