We have just received a PHEV and need a place to mount the J1772 charging connector under the carport which is a relatively controlled environment with no direct moisture/rain. I wanted something economical, not too obvious, and something with a hook for an extra cable. This holster meets all requirements perfectly. I installed it on my tool shed in minutes with the 4 screws that came with it. The J1772 Wire Harness/Plug Holder is spec and fits well with the OEM charger without the hassle of struggling with the connector. The release/hold trigger works as expected with this holster as well. Other Thoughts: While this holster is perfect for our indoor carport, if you require full weather protection for your J1772 connector, your mileage may vary. I believe the shroud design can't be too effective in protecting the fork given its size/protrusion.
