Exactly how I was afterwards
I didn't use glue at first because I don't like sticking crap on the dashboard. I wanted to cover to remove glare from the windshield and prevent the dash from cracking in the Phoenix sun. I also have the same type of lid on my 2006 Corvette with no adhesion and have had no problems with the lid even removing the top of the Targa on the freeway.
