I used it for a bookshelf!

So the first thing to know is that I bought these for their ability to hold weight, because I wanted to use them for a bookshelf. I put them in (almost) every stud because books. However, there were a couple of places that wasn’t possible.I also did not use a 1x, but a 2x, so there’s added strength in the shelf itself, but also twice the weight. It turned out great, and I’m ordering some more soon for a Mother’s Day project. fixing mom’s closet. Builder grade shelves are not holding the weight.

Pros

Sturdy enough to display heavy items such as pots and pans

Cons

May not be able to hold up well in earthquake-prone areas
