these brackets have the exact size and look of the brackets I purchased at a local hardware store but at a 20% discount. however when I received them yesterday they were made of thinner steel, not heavy duty as listed, but the main problem is they are not fabricated square or at a 90 degree. they are a shelf bracket and why would anyone want a sloping shelf so that items could roll or fall off a shelf. They are useless for a shelf so I returned them immediately and purchased proper heavy duty…

These were just what I needed for bookshelves in our basement study in our condo. We have Sheetrock walls on wood studs and I used leftover narrow bi-fold doors for the shelves. These shelf supports were perfect and well-priced, easy to make level too.

Solid brackets with a great paint job that doesn't appear to scratch off easily at all. Finding appropriate hardware was easy (button cap screws work best) and the price of these cannot be beat when comparing to options available at local "box box" or home improvement stores.

They're pretty nice, However 3 of them had the welds broken so I can't use. Why they would ship them like this is beyond me. They had to see them.

These are the heavy duty brackets that I was looking for. No screws provided, but I knew they weren't included. Very solid for the shelving we intend to install.

Nothing to dislike. You cannot find this large size in big box stores. I did find a few at a hardware store but I needed at least eight brackets. The hole issue was not a problem as mentioned by other reviewers. The two off set holes are needed as it where most of the weight is supported so the brackets cannot get pulled out of the wall. They have a nice powder coated finish and all were straight with 90 degree bends. I used these at my church in a small room that had a commercial dish machine…

Not cheap, but solid quality and very strong. I found myself with several new closets that needed shelving and a whole bunch of used redwood ship lap sitting in the yard.some cleaning, a nice stain, some cutting and boom - two pieces of ship lap on top of these brackets made a quick and cheap solution to my problem (and my wife said it looks "classy"). Success

These braces are very strong and made putting shelves up in my garage a breeze. I am going to get another set because I need more shelving.

I was concerned after reading reviews about the holes, being bent, cheap w/no weight capacity, bad finish, et al.At least one review stated he hung his 230# from ONE, so I bought.Actually this was a re-shopping experience since my slotted angle irons were cancelled, throwing my project days behind with an imminent deadline and there are slim pickings in finding weight capacities from the competition on line (idiot marketings?).Using SS Philips heads into smallish pilot holes into 2x4 wood…

Needs more holes for ease of mounting on the wall/studs. I had to drill holes in the bracket which is annoying May require a special tool for installation or removal.

Good strong brackets but about 1/4 of the 30 I bought were not exactly square like they should have been. Decko should have better quality control so the off-angle ones don't get shipped! I worked around that problem with shims but very annoying.

Maybe I missed that it doesn't come with hardware but it doesn't so the day comes when I go to install and can't easily get to the hardware store and.NO SCREWS! Arghhh. I am also disappointed that many of the brackets aren't really flat but are slightly bowed, making them not fit flush on the wall.

So the first thing to know is that I bought these for their ability to hold weight, because I wanted to use them for a bookshelf. I put them in (almost) every stud because books. However, there were a couple of places that wasn’t possible.I also did not use a 1x, but a 2x, so there’s added strength in the shelf itself, but also twice the weight. It turned out great, and I’m ordering some more soon for a Mother’s Day project. fixing mom’s closet. Builder grade shelves are not holding the weight.
