I love this pet backpack! It is very thoughtfully designed and was the best choice of the three I bought to try. My 16 year old Maltipoo, Rufus, can't walk very far anymore but he loves going out, meeting people and getting attention. I have a dog cart but it can't go through every terrain or go where we want. It solves these problems perfectly! I plan to use it mostly for everyday trips and maybe shopping, but when I travel with it the fold out kennel will be great. He only weighs 15 pounds, but in some physics magic his mass seems heavier than his weight. Anyone who picks him up says he's a lot heavier than he looks. When I carry it in my arms, my back starts to hurt very quickly. But in this bag. he feels like a nobody. It is very comfortable to wear and distributes the weight very well. I love that it has a chest and waist strap for when I'm working out or walking over rough terrain, but for everyday use the shoulder straps alone are strong and secure. I don't know how much time I have left with my little pal and I want him to be happy with the great input and interaction during his tenure. despite his physical limitations. When I first put him in he didn't feel stressed or uncomfortable, he just settled in and then when I put him on and started walking he just sat back in his chair and enjoyed the world around him. One with a screen instead of a hard case is definitely cooler and more convenient for him. Of the two models with a screen that I bought, this one on MYCH is stronger and more sophisticated. Zippers provide additional security. When I open the front window I buckle him up and use the harness, but once everything's buckled I can leave them off to give him more room to change position. The bottom is firm and holds its weight with no problem, and the faux sheepskin is nice and soft, offering claw grip rather than sliding over hard plastic. I want to say how grateful I am to the manufacturer that they engineered this with such thoughtful design and durability without being overly expensive. This product has greatly improved my little friend's quality of life. If others are considering this for elderly or infirm pets, I definitely say I will buy it. You will not regret it. It will be such a treat and great mental stimulus for your little pal.
