Review on Magicfly Digital Automatic Incubator Chickens by Mark Gilbert

Before buying the incubator, I took a close look at my little heart. There are so many different ones to choose from and so many different options. Since my husband and I work almost the same shift every day, we were looking for something a little more "set and forget" since we don't have time to turn as many eggs at home as we need to. . That's it! The egg turner works great and as others have said it turns VERY slowly throughout the day so of course you won't see any eggs turning unless you sit and watch for 24 hours at a time. You can hear him turning inward. The top of the incubator is pretty self-explanatory. There is a button to set the temperature and one to show the current temperature. The temperature is given in degrees Celsius, but you can easily determine what temperature to set in degrees Celsius. The 100ml he suggests putting on the floor for hydration is not enough. I did what the other suggested and added what I felt was necessary (about 1 cup). I did NOT use a hygrometer to measure the humidity in the bator. I literally placed 9 chicken eggs in the incubator in the automatic egg turner box, 1 liter of water on the bottom, set the temperature to 37.5 degrees Celsius, put the lid on and made sure the automatic turner was in the slot to hold the eggs to turn right. during the day and let it do its thing! I checked every other day to see if there was still water at the bottom for moisture and added more if necessary. On day 14 we candled the eggs to make sure they were all growing and we had 3 eggs that never fertilized so we cracked them open to be sure and threw them away. Day 18 I put the baton on the "lock". We hatched early on day 19 and 3 more on day 20. The remaining 2 hatched on day 21. I am very happy with this incubator as we had a 100% hatch rate considering 3 chicks were never conceived. If you are having trouble with this incubator like others have suggested, I would argue that your eggs were never fertilized to begin with. I highly recommend this product to everyone!
