Received this product today and installed it straight away. It's pretty easy once you know what you're doing. I removed my old gas shocks by simply taking a small flathead screwdriver, inserting it under the stainless steel clip and gently pulling on the clip to loosen it. The tricky part was keeping the car's tailgate open. I unscrewed the "lower" end of the shock, or the end where the larger gas shock is installed. End at the bold part. I attached the clip to the car, then I attached the thinner end of the arm to the car and simply raised the gate higher and screwed the attached top to the bottom. Be careful not to unscrew the top when screwing on the bottom. I used a small pair of pliers with a piece of cardboard to avoid scratching. Simple and ready ✔️
