I made a few modifications as you can see in the photos. Install the tees on straight feed fences for more comfortable feeding. Cover the ends of the fittings with heat shrink tubing for better grip by birds. Also slide the heat shrink over the straight tabs for a tighter fit on the tees and use pliers to twist the heat shrink to roughen it and fit the tees better. I then applied glue to hold them in place. Finally I added an 18 inch canopy to protect the birds and seeds from the weather. As you can see in the last image the seed level has dropped to almost half the pipe. The birds love it! the bird is on it, in the snow, in the picture. And I saw a cardinal on the perch eating from the feeder! There was also a squirrel on the feeder (before I moved it to another location) and could see where it was. I tried biting through the feeding holes but I couldn't because the holes are metal. There was no damage other than the vents chipping away at the paint. I love this feeder and the birds too.
