I bought this product in the used/refurbished/refurbished section. The details said the top of the device was badly worn, so it was reduced by about 100 bones over the cost of a new device ($230 new). The case had no scratches and looked like new. Everything was fine, or so I thought. My usage is the main router for the rest of my network - see attached photo. The main purpose is that I can use the full 1.22GB download speed that my ISP is offering. I've recently found that every now and then I'll lose my service and this causes the FTP file transfer to fail (grrr!). After investigating the issue, I went through the logs of this router and noticed that it randomly resets the device. It's been happening a few times a day lately, and when I went back to the top of the logs, I noticed it was happening all the time - just not that often, so I've never experienced the problem firsthand. The firmware has already been updated. I contacted QNAP and they were great. Phone calls are answered and help comes promptly. They discovered that the device I received had a hardware failure. The overall satisfaction with their customer support has been great in my experience! Revan was great too. I had five days before the return period was up, but since QNAP couldn't offer an RMA for the device because I bought it second-hand, Revain allowed me to return it for a full refund. Because of the service, and let's be honest - this is the best 10gbe dual router for the dollar, I re-ordered the router, but new, never used. The feature set of this router is also pretty good in my opinion. It takes a bit of getting used to once you're used to the Linksys/Netgear/Cisco UI, but just experiment with the screens and move around a bit and you'll quickly know where all the 10GBE ports are located WAN - Parental controls are great - Port forwarding works great - VPN options if you need them - There are DDNS options - Decent firewall options Check out YouTube for more reviews of this router's features and settings. s): - QNAP customer service is excellent - Do not buy used items - There is a very good chance that the item I am returning will return to the Zone shelves and someone else will buy that defective item. - don't buy these used - think about it - someone sent their router back for some reason - most likely it's defective!
