We painted the wooden steps on the patio leading to the back door and nothing saved them from icing up. They work. most of time. Pros: β’ Easy to install, comes with all screws β’ Handles more ice than any other product we've found β’ Comes in many colors to match our wood. Disadvantages: β’ At first the paint/finish seems to be peeling off a bit. It's not much, and we've got an outdoor rug to capture it, but there's something to watch out for. β’ These tracks work. most of time. We don't have direct sunlight to melt the ice, so it sometimes takes a hit with a snow shovel to break it. We are satisfied and will buy again. but there are a few features.
