Well these filters work fine on a regular dripmaker. I fill my grinder to the 12 cup mark every day and have issues with regular 8-12 filters overflowing a bit in certain spots and also not distributing the water evenly. These filters keep soil and water complete and even. They cover the overflow hole on the brew basket. If you are concerned about this, you can poke a small hole in the top of the filter through the overflow on the basket to keep the overflow from going into the back of the coffee maker. I use a Black and Decker coffee maker and grinder from a big store. I recommend the coffee maker for its stylish head, but that's another review. With these filters I get really good tasting coffee without the mess.
