NOTICE Connection instructions.

When installing this injection pump, it is essential to follow the enclosed instructions for connecting the 4-pin flat connector! Other reviewers stated that their connector was marked A and D on the back, meaning the 4 pins were A, B, C, D in order. Mine had NO MARK, and as it turned out the pins didn't even have the sequence 8n! Rather, they are arranged in the order C, A, B, D from right to left when viewed from behind the fork. HOW could anyone guess that the pins were in such an arrangement? Once I hooked up the wires to the correct pins, the pump works much better than the old 202k mile one. The truck starts in just half a second from the starter. The old pump rarely started the truck with the first crank, but the second cranked immediately. On the other hand, the sending device did not initially match. It wasn't until I poured over 15 gallons of fuel that it rose from empty. It was installed within a week, and at least twice it returned to zero, the needle on the dash went back to E, the LOW FUEL light came on, etc. Eventually he reestablished communications. Once it turned off for about 3 minutes, other times it took about 40 or 50 miles, after several reboots, to turn it back on. I guess I'll dig it up again, maybe buy another one, and then haggle for a refund (and pay to send it back). Maybe it won't shut down again, but I'm not sure it won't happen again.
