I have this to connect old stereo speakers to a 2.0 soundbar with RCA inputs. I bought RCA jacks because I have an RCA male/male extension to go from there to the soundbar. The only disappointment was that the color coding requires some care to decode. Refer to the online guides noted in other reviews. Pay special attention to the red/black color of the left and right channel speaker outputs. Blacks should be paired with black striped whites or grays. Solid whites or grays paired with reds. Left/Right configuration. it's a matter of trial and error. In the worst case, you'll either have to swap left white or right gray, or you'll have to swap the RCA connectors. My initial setup went smoothly, as demonstrated by a left-right balance test on a stereo. The output on the soundbar "moved" left/right respectively. I need a very low stereo output volume to set the soundbar at a good average volume.
