Better filtration of chemicals (except chlorine), deposits than KDF filters. The water seems cleaner. Lasts 6 months or less.
Activated carbon block filter filters out chemicals, rust, deposits better than a KDF filter. It doesn't make a sound when shaken like sand or KDF.When first used, it releases loose black carbon dust into the water. The carbon block is used to purify drinking water, but KDF is not. KDF removes chlorine from water better than carbon block, especially at higher temperatures. It is gold in color and comes in separate pieces.
