Sounds better than some $200 headphones

I've listened to Beats, Panasonic, Sony, Sennheiser and VModa and was amazed that these $25 unbranded headphones sound better (at least for me) than anything else in the $80 to $200 range I've ever tried. They're very crisp and detailed, with a flat, crisp, pleasing frequency response curve that doesn't have the pronounced harsh mids (around 800Hz to 1.5kHz) that most headphones have. The lowest and highest frequencies and everything in between are treated fully and fairly, and they can emit powerful 30Hz waves with no buzz or rattle. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they can improve the design. The shells don't have hinges so they sit snugly on the head, and while they look like on-ear shells, the packaging advertises them as on-ear shells, but most people see them somewhere in between. As a result, the landing, while acceptable, is not as comfortable as we would like. So five stars for the sound quality, three stars for the design.
