I ordered this kettle after a long search for the most important features for a traveller. This kettle has a fully enclosed heating element, which means you can clean the inside even if you're using it to heat soup or make instant noodles, not just heat water. The lid is plastic but the base is steel, most others only have plastic lids. The lid is removable, which is a big plus for easy cleaning and mixing. Also, the kettle can be used after the 3-minute auto shut-off that most chains have if you leave the lid open. A unique and very useful feature when you want to boil more than just water. Lead is an excellent flat 3 core cable and is a good length. Space-saving and high quality. The plug will require an adapter, but US 3-pin plugs are the most compact. So using an adopter will add some volume. The manual lists the switching voltage to use, but the sticker on the bottom says 100-240V 50Hz-60Hz. There is no switch to select the voltage, but I assume it will (hopefully) work globally without toggling . This is an area for the seller to clear or put a sticker on the livestock. Manual switching is tedious, but automatic switching is very useful. The voltage range means that it not only works in the USA, but also in Japan (100V), Europe and Asia with a 230-240V power supply. The two cups supplied are high quality and reusable. The carrying case is a nice touch and the best part is the warranty card. It's an embossed credit card with a raised number! Impressive attention to detail. I'll be updating the usage rating for some trips, but for now it seems to tick all the boxes more than any other travel kettle I've been able to find on Revain.
