Great coffee grinder! I love it! It is surprisingly quiet and very easy to use. So I'm really pissed that I ruined mine on the second day. The description said it could be used for spices/nuts/cereals, so I didn't hesitate to use it when I wanted to bake apple bread that required ground cloves. I only had whole cloves, so I poured in a teaspoon and started grinding. It took a few minutes but did a great job of grinding hard whole cloves into a powder. When I tried to clean the grinder lid I saw that the plastic was almost melted and very sticky. (*see photo) I learned the hard way that cloves contain a chemical compound that breaks down and dissolves plastic and that only glass for cloves, whole or ground, is safe to touch and use for storage. So I'm going to refer to this one exclusively as my spice grinder, and I'm ordering another one that's strictly for coffee!
