Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Valiant Cabinet Hardware Jig: Drawer Knobs and Pulls Template Tool for Wood Drilling - Adjustable Drill Guide for Boring, Mounting Door Handles (Improved Version, Aluminum) by Jeff Ross

Don't pay anyone to install your closet!

When my husband and I were told we would be charged $3 per hole to professionally install kitchen cabinet hardware ($4 if they actually screw on every handle), we were SHOCKED. absolutely SHOCKED. You can easily pay more for installation than for the actual handles! So I IMMEDIATELY looked for alternatives that were accurate yet effective so we could do the installation ourselves. I came across this product and was very impressed by the reviews. Unlike plastic templates, this one was sturdy and sized to fit large handles and drawers/cabinets, and I also liked that you could drill holes instead of just marking and then drilling. I'm not the best at measuring, and we had some pretty odd sized pens. But the best part about this template was that once you knew your size, you simply pinned the template and drilled through any cabinets that those measurements apply to! And when changing cabinets that open in opposite directions, we could just flip the template! So it took a while to figure out the dimensions and our process, but this thing saves lives and money. Our kitchen was quite large so we split the installation over a couple of days, but that was a small price to pay given the result. A few tips I have: - Measure the thickness of your drawer before drilling. Depending on the thickness of the backing, you may need longer or shorter nails. We could easily find inexpensive packaging at Home Depot. - Tape off the holes you won't drill - When drilling, use a block of wood on the back to prevent splitting; It's usually free at Home Depot - use a vise to hold the wood in place as you drill. I hope my review and tips help!
