I moved my desktop computer to a place where I no longer had ethernet so I decided to Adding Wi-Fi capabilities was the easiest way to get around this problem. I plugged it into an available USB port on my desktop and Windows 7 found the drivers automatically without me having to install them myself. Everything works exactly as expected and the signal strength is strong despite the small size of the adapter and my wireless access point being in a room with a few corridor/closet walls in between. Better than I expected for a relatively low price. Note that it doesn't support 5GHz networks, only 2.4GHz (which is 802.11b/g and could be 802.11n, although some people only use 802.11n at 5GHz - unlikely at the time of writing if you don't do this). I don't know how your wireless network is set up, but it's worth mentioning; It also doesn't support the latest 802.11ac standard at all, although again it's rare to find an AC-only network at the time of writing).
