I bought these pads for my 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 primarily because of the positive reviews of EBC pads in Grassroots Motorsports magazine and also because they are not as expensive as OEM pads. in terms of braking performance, they are impressive. After a short break-in period, they are very grippy when braking and I have great confidence in my brakes. They don't seem to produce as much dust as OEM pads. However, after braking for a long time, I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel. This is very similar to brake disc warping, but it is not. I'm not an aggressive driver, I rarely brake hard. My original brake pads lasted almost 80,000 miles. It seems to me that using these pads, but without using them extensively, will cause the pad material to build up on the rotor and vibrate. This has never happened with standard brake pads. The reason I know it's not rotor warping is that if you make a couple of hard stops from 60mph, the vibration goes away. The vibration is annoying, but it doesn't seem to affect braking performance and isn't so tiring as to give me the motivation to change the pads, so I'll live with that until it's time to change the brakes again.
