Review on Dorman 924-228: Front Brake Dust Shield for Dodge Models - Enhanced Performance and Protection by Markus Calderon

I confirm they will work on 2nd gen trucks. I have a 2001 Diesel A 4wd 4wheel abs with a Dana 60 front axle and they worked great without any modifications. I'm not sure why they list the earliest year as 2003 because I can confirm they are working on 2001. Very happy with them. I'm not sure either, but I had two failed ABS sensors after ripping off the old rusty ones. I suspect they are needed to keep the heat in the rotors from damaging the sensors. I highly recommend putting them on and not just ripping off the old ones.
