bought this to replace my old phone holder which was bouncing and tipping sideways a lot on the trails. This one is much sturdier and cleans my handlebar area pretty well. Haven't ridden any serious trails yet, but it held my phone securely in place (no extra rubber straps or cheap clips) when I left the paved surface a couple of times on my most recent ride. An added bonus is that I don't have to take it off when I want to put the bike on the handlebars for tire adjustment. My only concern is the locking switch will go up and I'm afraid it will fall back down as if the path is too bumpy. Update: This worked very well. Combined with the OtterBox Symmetry, I had no problems with roots and big rocks on my local trails. Even my wireless charger can be used with it.
