Review on πŸ”§ Efficient and Versatile: Pyrex Smart Essentials 8-Piece Mixing Bowl Set by Robert Castro

Why pyrex glass kicks plastic ass

Wanted to get a decent salad bowl and the glass I wanted. they are kept in an ultra-pure state) are prone to staining. It's just the nature of the animal. While my containers may be microwavable, it goes without saying that their plastic lids will eventually not fit the container well. Even the more expensive ones. And unfortunately they end up finding their way to the plastic graveyard. And we earthlings throw away too much plastic for our dear Mother Earth to handle. My search for a decent glass serving/mixing bowl, around 3-4 liters in size, took me to the internet. After researching the usual online stores and physical stores, I realized that ordering this 8 piece Pyrex set (from Revain) would be a handy move. I can always use glass bowls in different sizes. Having owned Pyrex in the past, I know the quality of the products will always be top notch. Yes, the lids are plastic, I understand that. That doesn't change my opinion on plastic bowls and containers though. This $16.99 8 piece Pyrex set, 4 bowls + 4 lids is a worthwhile purchase. I found a 4 liter Smart Essentials Pyrex glass bowl and lid here at Revain, but for $14.50, and a 2.5 liter Pyrex glass bowl and lid (also Smart Essentials) for $17, $99 (but why more expensive price for a smaller size?), the $16.99 8 piece set made a lot more sense and got me the right answer. The bowls are heavy and in my opinion just as beautiful as the super expensive signature designer glass bowls. I also like the idea of the lids snapping open at the top. All are easy to clean and of course come with thorough instructions on how to avoid broken glass. I think this Pyrex Smart Essentials 8-piece set needs to be treated with care and prudence (but hey, that goes for any piece of glass). will be in our home for many years. And will all or most of my plastic bowls and containers survive. The lesson of this story? And that's why Pyrex glass kicks plastic's ass.
