I bought one of these seat covers almost 5 years ago and absolutely love it - it's a nice heavyweight cotton fabric that fits well and has held up my Great Dane well, including multiple washes. 3 years ago I bought another one and again the same wonderful cotton fabric. Everyone asked where I got it from and I was happy to refer them to Solvit. We got a new car last year and I needed a third cover so I immediately jumped to Amazon to buy my favorite. When it arrived I was concerned the fabric was different - soft micro suede on top and slippery nylon material on the bottom. It suited me, so I put it on the car. Well, I hate it - and I don't use the term lightly. It doesn't stick to the seat like old fabric - slides, slides, balls, static and dogs don't like it either! I left the cover thinking it would rub off after washing and maybe I can think of another way to attach it so it stays on the seat. Bad luck. It's been a year and I still hate this thing. The only reason it deserves one star is because I love the new sewn-in ties, which wrap around the seat headrest better than the old clip style, and it looks really nice. Tried to order again this year thinking maybe I got the wrong style or something - no luck the exact case arrived and I sent it back straight away. There is another one star review on Revain where one person contacted the manufacturer for a replacement cloth - good read! I don't care that the cost of cotton has doubled - I'd happily pay more for the old fabric. By the time they get it back Solvit will have lost a customer and all the recommendations I would give.
