Review on Acer CB272 Bmiprx FreeSync Technology 75Hz Monitor with Built-In Speakers by Charles Wijaya

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very worthy monitors - Acer CB272 bmiprx 27 "

I bought two of these for a new computer. I also bought them a Huanuo stand for two monitors. Both were VESA compatible. More on this. The 27" monitor is awesome and big. I use it for general web use, Android emulator games, Steam games and light PC gaming for the family. I connected them to my computer via a DisplayPort 1.4 connector. The DisplayPort -Cable also transmits audio so no audio cable is needed. Honestly the sound quality on these monitors is not very good but the sound is there. There is no audio output from the monitor. All monitor buttons are located on the back bottom right side of the monitor ( looking at the monitor from the front). Picture and color are decent. WHY I GAVE THE OVERALL PRICE ONE STAR. The monitors are designed to allow the consumer to use the stand provided. The stand mount inserts into the back of the monitor so that the Stand sits flush with the back of the monitor once installed, so it's great unless you're using a VESA mount VESA mount dimensions: 119.67 mm wide x 124.69 mm high. This is important when using a VESA mount. in more than 119.67 mm. The Huanuo VESA mounting plates measure 121.30mm x 121.30mm. Physics suggest this isn't suitable, period. So I had to go to my local hardware store and buy some nylon standoffs and longer M4 screws to attach the monitors to the VESA mounting plate. Not a show stopper, but definitely a show delay. Installation/fitting took 4 hours. Something to consider. Having a VESA surface mount would make it much more applicable to all VESA style mounts. And who cares what the back of the monitor looks like. If you spend more time looking at the back of your monitor and admiring the clean aesthetic of the hidden monitor stand, you live a very different life than I do. Once installed, the monitors look very decent. As I said, the sound sucks, but any external speaker system will solve this problem. There are no dead pixels on any monitor, no glitches or hiccups on the display. Recommend.
