This is a proposal from a new company trying to present itself as the equivalent of the best German/Japanese companies. They are close but not quite there. This particular knife has an attractive design, a unique (and decorative) blade coating system, the finest stainless steel and is finished to a high but not superior standard (in this case uneven spine grind). This is the second knife in this set (I also have a bread knife that had issues with the scales not being ground flush with the shaft) that I bought primarily for the aesthetics and the blade sheath as I kept them in a cage have. As the price is similar to other high-end brands, for really working (kitchen) cutlery I would go to a more reputable company for now.
