I have mixed feelings about using these knee pads as volleyball pads. I really like how they fit and feel. they are not bulky at all. I often fall to the ground in defense. I feel they protect my knees quite well, but the material doesn't hold up too well. I've attached a picture of a small tear that formed after wearing it for a few games. How much skin I left on my knees from wearing them so they did their job but obviously you don't want a tear every time you dive. (However, they're not really advertised as sport rubbers, and it's not prohibitively expensive to replace them every few seasons.) The McDavid 645 rubber is probably slightly better in terms of durability, but not nearly as comfortable. me. It's worth a try, but don't be surprised if you find yourself having to replace them quite often if you play a lot. I bought a couple of pairs of traditional volleyball pads (Asics and Mizunos) and found them uncomfortably bulky.
