Great value for money! The steel base is a good measure: thick and strong, but not too heavy. The color settles evenly and shines. The locking mechanism is a bit "clunky" and could have been a bit "more positive" in my opinion. But I can say I had some weight on them and they seem to be locked in place securely enough that I feel safe crawling under my truck on the stands. Also note that the surface of the saddle can dent any flat area of your vehicle's frame (I use it for climbing on older solid chassis pickups). When I used these on my old truck that was in long-term storage, I found it necessary to protect the frame from the top of the "saddle" (I put a piece of heavy angle steel on top of the saddle). I've only used it on a concrete surface and they seem sturdy. Not "premium" but very good for a weekend handyman like me. I ended up buying a second pair.
