Discussed and checked all the frames and decided on the Kuat brand. Security is the first thing that struck me as it incorporated 2 separate lock cables which made it a lot easier than the old model which only had 1 for both bikes. The locks and the supplied pin lock are locked with the same key. They provide 3 keys attached to a nice little bottle opener. Assembling the rack took no more than 10 minutes. The convenience and simplicity of this shelf is great. The bike is very safe and does not move. This shelf is a bit heavy but sturdy. I love that you can turn the knob to tighten the hitch receiver to keep the post from moving. I have a road bike so I'm not sure, but there's plenty of room for a bike with wider tires. The rear wheel attachment strap can be moved to accommodate different wheels. The pedal/handle allows you to tilt it down when the bike is mounted so you can open the tailgate. When not in use, it can be tilted to get it out of the way. The only issue I have is that the bike stand blocks the license plate a bit when folded, but when folded I just remove it.
