The scale arrived on time. Instructions followed: batteries inserted, switched on, got error message, tried everything (switched off, reinserted batteries etc.), but the scale kept flashing numbers. Never weighed. Packed and returned. I hope the replacement works, but to be honest I'm not very optimistic. Update #1: A replacement has arrived. The return was uncomplicated. Unfortunately, the #2 scale turned on, but turned off before I finished weighing. Stars increased from 1 to 3. Update #2 - A replacement has arrived. Oddly enough, I didn't ask for a second replacement; All I did was add update #1 to this review. Scale #3 works great, but there doesn't seem to be any other way for me to return scale #2 other than a refund. But I want to keep the #3 scale the way it works, and if I get my purchase back if I return the #2 scale, I basically get the #3 scale for free. What to do? Well I'll add a 4th star. Update #2: Although I did not return scale #2 or request a replacement, scale #3 arrived in my mailbox today. I've tried it and it seems to be working as it should. I'll be using it this weekend and if it's still working next week I'll return #2 and raise the stars.
