Review on DRAW TITE 24756 Sportframe Receiver by Adam Bates

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent hitch, but low receiver height, overcoming the factory bumper. Great value when installing DIY.

In my application, the Chevy HHR, the low hitch height is always a problem, especially when using a truck instead of a trailer. Note that you will need something to increase the hitch height and might need an adapter, like 2 inch tongue anyway. All in all it's a great price and not too difficult to install, but if you don't have the patience or some mechanical skill ask the store to install it for you. Be sure to lower the >>front<< and rear muffler grommets to achieve the required height to install the driver's side frame bolts. I forgot about this at first, but it became a lot easier when I also lowered the front suspension (per the instructions). is not the limiting factor in how much you can tow, but the vehicle itself. If you use an adapter and then some sort of clamp to stabilize the adapter, the bolts hang so low that they can easily fall off the driveway to the Entry down so you can flip the clamp so the screws are facing up. This hook works fine for me!

Cons
  • Vulgarity
