Review on ๐Ÿ”ง LEZYNE High Pressure Road Drive Bike Tire Pump, 160psi, Presta & Schrader Valve, Compact with ABS Flex Hose by Michael Rosario

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Lightweight, looks good, a few technical flaws.

I have two of these on each bike. Last week I got pierced in the rain. I found the wreck, put in a new tube, removed the pump from the bike and couldn't unscrew the tube from the pump. Used a COโ‚‚ cartridge. When I got to the office I needed a pair of pliers to pull the hose out. I then cleaned it and put some lube on it to keep it from happening again. I blew a hole on another bike this weekend. It was easy to remove the hose this time, but the plunger wouldn't come loose. It's almost impossible to grasp the shiny black surface with wet hands. I wrapped the old tubing around the barrel and butt and with a little twist was able to pry it off the rubber seal that keeps it from rattling. The third time was a horrible valve core removal. Because I use deep tread wheels, I carry tubes with removable cores. I inflated the tire to the correct pressure and when I unscrewed the pump from the valve I saw the valve core rotate and then I heard the whistle of a deflated tire. I used my valve core tool to tighten it and started re-inflating the tire. It's light, looks good, and complements your bike, but if you're going to rely on it, make sure you pierce it often enough so the parts don't wear out. will not corrode or become stuck over time.
