Review on 🔒 Amika Vault Color-Lock Shampoo by Rebecca Perry

This is great! The hair is straight, thick, just below the shoulders. I paint from dark brown to black with red accents. I have silver which is very stain resistant meaning paint won't stick to it. It looks good at first, but within 3-4 days the silver skunk band returns and within a week the rest of the color fades. I have an intense 45 minute workout that I do every morning and I sweat a lot during that time which I think contributes to these issues. I also blow dry daily and use a curling iron, that doesn't help either. Not washing your hair every day is not an option; Dry shampoo makes me feel like a greasy ball at the end of the day. So I was looking for a good color fixing system and I think I found it! Since my hair is sweaty after a workout, I apply a color fixative to my hair before shampooing. I start training to protect the color at the roots. After my workout I go in the shower and use the Amika Color Lock Shampoo and Conditioner and they rinse out the pre-shampoo really well and don't irritate my hair. When I get out of the shower, I apply Amika Blockade Heat Defense Serum to my hair before blow drying and using a curling iron. A little bit of serum goes a long way, by the way, so one bottle will probably last six months or more. So far I am very impressed with the results. I'm 12 days old and the color is still crisp including red highlights. Some silver is visible at the roots, but that's from new growth (my hair grows fast, there's not much I can do about it lol) and I really have to look for it before I see it. It's easy to mask with WOW powder (always use powder, not root spray, it kills the hair and interferes with the coloring process). Hair looks healthy and shiny, no split ends or split ends. All of the products I mentioned are scented, but it's a nice clean floral scent that doesn't bother me. I will definitely use this system!
