Nicky was helpful and the support department deserves five stars but the instructions are not in good English or I wouldn't need to call support. She called me several times and was very interested in being helpful. She was also very keen for me to give her five stars. The reason I called customer service is I wanted to turn off the doorbell sound when opening and closing the lock because the dog gets very excited when he hears the doorbell. While I was on hold I found out that if you click on the three lines in the top left and the settings are there (no other settings) then the very first one at the top is "Sound" and that turns off the sound of the doorbell. There is an installation video that helped, there was some difficulty aligning the inside and outside to get the lock turning the correct number of turns. Note* The key can only be removed in the horizontal position. Not vertical. I wasn't happy paying the extra $34 for a gateway. I connected it to the Alexa app which doesn't work very well. I'd rather it recognize me when I go upstairs and open the door, but it doesn't have that feature. Also, the Alexa app needs to be open to use the voice command and tell him to open the door and passcode. Update: Nicky kept texting me asking for a five star rating. I have completed it. Now that I've used the lock, it's not as easy as using the key. I have to take out my phone, open the app and the lock is slow.
