Restoring and running an old Asus M3A78-CM AM2+ computer as a server from parts from old computers. I have a 250GB SSD to boot, a 250GB laptop drive for backup, a 2TB internal drive and the rest are 4TB external WD USB 3.0 drives built in. I found and added a used 3GHz quad core AMD Athlon 4X processor with 8GB RAM. That's when I discovered that the motherboard only has USB 2.0 ports, not fast enough for external drives. Bought this card (just spent extra money) to add USB3.0. Fits perfectly next to the Nvidia GTX645 graphics card. Switched on as soon as Windows 10 was loaded, saw the new map, restarted again with the map and that was it. External drive speed tests outperformed the laptop's internal drive, so USB 3.0 worked flawlessly. Will update if I have any issues with it but for ease of installation it was a 5 minute job 5 stars.
