These are cute little gender change adapters. However, when working with serial connections, it is often necessary to unscrew the screws from one side or the other. On these gender changers, if you loosen the screws, the entire adapter will fall apart. I've had several of these over the years. None of them, except these, do not fall apart when the screws are removed. A little glue would hold them together and I suggest you glue your own. If you accidentally let them fall apart, they're going to be pretty hard to put back together - IF you can find all the pins.
