Review on πŸš— ATP Automotive Graywerks 10108 4Exhaust Manifold: Premium Performance and Durability at its Finest by Demond Clenney

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A thin cast that cracks within a year.

Two stars - "satisfactory", one star - "poor". Full Disclosure I purchased this from a company called Mountain Top Competition. You prevented me from posting the review below. So I bought one of these on 04/23/19. In December 2019 the engine was removed for an overhaul. During disassembly I noticed that this elbow was cracked. big bang Upon inspection I found that the casting was quite thin but I figured I could weld it, not that I was that good of a welder. My 120 volt welder made a hole in it. Well, now I could really see how skinny he was. Like a thin sheet. I then wrote a rather scathing but accurate 1 star review. This review breaks the rules (the price is mentioned, but caught the attention of ATP, the manufacturer). They sent me a callsign and eventually (it took over a month) a new distributor. So added a star because ATP sent me a new one. These castings have tons of inclusions in the ports that need to be ground or you will lose 15-20% of the exhaust port flow (right where the smoke ports are). It was made in China. Not that all Chinese made parts are bad, I have used many good Chinese made parts but this is not one that will last. Yes, MFG sent a new one, but if I was still turning wrenches for money, I would hesitate with this purchase. Grab a used GM from the junkyard for less than I did.
