I read the whole review and it seems that the main problem is the corrosion of the lock. I like the construction and it looks like it will be very strong and will hold up. But I will report every 4-5 months. I decided to spray the lock and locking balls inside and out with CRC grease and rust inhibitor. Let's see if that helps against rust. One problem I encountered was the initial installation of the lock. There is an o-ring which I believe is to keep water and dirt out of the lock and locking balls. It was so tight that I damaged the o-ring when pulling it in and out. After applying anti-corrosion grease, it slides easily. But again, I will continue to monitor it for corrosion. I won't be removing the lock until mid-August when I tow my daughter's car to uni. Let's see how it behaves and if I can take it off without any problems.
