This is a lightweight colander/colander but I only cook for myself and my wife most of the time so it's perfect for draining and rinsing. less noodles, diced potatoes, etc. It is very light, easy to clean, can withstand boiling water, easy to store in a drawer or cabinet, and the price is very cheap. I have other great and beautiful colanders but I use this one 95% of the time. This is my second purchase of this item. I bought the first one in April 2019 but last month I made the mistake of rinsing a large batch of tomatoes and the handle broke.
