Not wide enough for me

I should have looked more closely at the specs. I'm 6ft 250lbs and this footstool is really too narrow to comfortably fit my feet when I recline. The surface is big enough for a laptop, but doesn't offer enough space for a mouse. I'm sending mine back as it doesn't fit me, but overall it seemed like a pretty good deal for someone smaller than me and doesn't need more surface area.
