Review on Dorman M49201 Brake Master Cylinder by Tony Kingdom

I was surprised to see on the outside of the box that this unit was made in Taiwan. I don't think this will be a problem as it's really brand new, not rebuilt, and the dimensions and mounting seem to have been managed properly (unlike what you might get from communist China). This unit is part of a brake system overhaul for a 51 year old car. As a result, we can no longer pay so much attention to the country of origin when looking for spare parts. Unfortunately, the quality of rubber from the Far East does not match the quality of American rubber in products such as tires and gaskets. Time will tell if the seals in this hydraulic block will hold up properly. The update is coming in a few years.
