It took a couple of tries to figure out the best way to fill the tray, but the ice cubes turned out pretty well. The mold comes with a little funnel that fits into the nose of the dog and each cube is about 2 oz of water. I tried pressing the mold together and just filling each dog, but the mold didn't quite lock together and the water pushed it open. I emptied it and tried again by filling the bottom half of the mold first, then pressing the top on as tight as I could and topping it off until water came out the holes in the paws. The tray has a very stable base, so the tray stayed flat while it froze overnight and all my doggie cubes had a pretty good shape. It took longer than expected to get them out, but worth it for some cute cubes.
