Let me start by saying that I understand NOTHING about cars. But I know a thing or two about saving money, so I took one to see if I could diagnose my car's check engine light and save time by checking emissions before taking it. This thing did exactly what I needed. Just plug it into your car (I have a Nissan 98 and a Honda 09 and it took me 3 seconds to find the connector for both) and it turns on (powered by the car battery). The color display is super excellent. It's durable, comes with a paper manual with detailed instructions and a CD for diagnosing codes. It's great to be able to diagnose your car so you know what it needs BEFORE you take it to the mechanic. OR just buy the parts yourself. I can't believe I've gone through so many years without buying one of these. That saves me $100.
