Review on Polymer Stirrup Irons By Korsteel by Rob Kerr

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My go-to stirrups for horse riding have always been the classic stainless steel ones. However, after using the Polymer Stirrup Irons by Korsteel, I may never go back. They are lightweight and comfortable, but still sturdy enough to feel secure while riding.

The slightly curved design of the stirrup pad helps keep my foot in position, and the wider footbed adds even more stability. One of the best features is how easy they are to keep clean - a quick wipe down with a damp cloth and they look as good as new. I was a bit hesitant about the material at first, thinking it might not hold up to wear and tear over time. But I have been pleasantly surprised by their durability. They have held up well through daily use and intense riding sessions. Overall, the Polymer Stirrup Irons have exceeded my expectations. They have become my new favorite stirrups and I highly recommend them to any rider looking for a comfortable and reliable option.

Pros
  • The lightweight design and wide footbed provide a comfortable and secure fit for the rider's foot, reducing the risk of slipping or discomfort.
Cons
  • Durability concerns: While the polymer material is lightweight and rust-resistant, it may not hold up to heavy use over time. Riders who demand more from their equipment may find themselves needing to replace these stirrup irons sooner than they'd like
