Review on Lion Brand Yarn 790-421 Homespun Yarn in Vibrant Purple Haze by Summer Hendricks

I have been using Lion Homespun for about twenty years. While the batches may be slightly different for my purposes, it never really mattered. But I recently ordered a "Purple Haze" in regular yarn, and what I received made me wonder if it's real. New white label and shiny yarn (hard to catch) without the subtle blue continuous variations and hues I'm used to from Purple Haze. Has anyone else gotten a slightly different homemade yarn from Lion Brand? Other colors I've ordered lately have been fine, just this one.
