Review on πŸ“ High-performance Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Desktop with Quad Core CPU, 1GB RAM and Linux OS by Nathan Pintac

It's the Apple II of the 21st century, but that's not all!

This is the Apple II of the 21st century. But it's so cheap, it's not just for lovers! It can use almost any language, even Fortran and Pascal if you like it. It's cheap enough to be used in countless special operations. At least it can become a cheap media center. We are currently using the Pi to access the internet, view and update the webpage of chess games in our chess tournaments with a projector. Cons: The platform is still under development and is not a finished product. It will do almost anything you want, but you may have to search and find a detailed and sometimes complicated solution to what you want. For example, to disable the screen blanking, you need to enter some console commands and this is not available through the GUI. Pis can sometimes be found in retail stores (like Micro Center) for around $29.99 if you search well, but then there's a tax. As you can see, it can cost you a bit more money to trick you after buying a micro SD card, an enclosure, an HDMI cable, a wireless keyboard/mouse and a Wi-Fi adapter. Many will want to buy a project kit first. My advice is to wait and put your money into the initial system, get it working before deciding on an application direction. I haven't used my project kit yet. A working Raspberry Pi 2 platform alone will take you several months to get it up and running properly. Get started and THEN decide which specific app you want to try. Have fun!
